The Stratton House project was the largest on which HBA has been employed to date. It consisted of the refurbishment of offices on 6 floors and the construction of a luxury penthouse on the roof. HBA were employed during the design phase to comment and make recommendations as to feasability in Health & safety and maintenance matters. During the construction phases we monitored the contractor's health & safety regime and its implementation. Considerations included preventing falls from height, ensuring safety of operative working in confined spaces, co-ordination with the ground floor leasholders who stayed trading during the project and methodology of demoliiton and extension to parts of the upper floors. There were unannounced HSE inspections which were resulted in satisfactory reports.
